Chamber to discuss PFD projects March 26

The topic of the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce's March 26 luncheon will be "Public Facilities Districts Projects -- How should the Tri-Cities proceed?"

Public Facilities Districts (PFDs) are municipal corporations created to oversee public projects and facilities. The Tri-Cities area includes four PFDs: Tri-Cities Public Facilities District, Kennewick Public Facilities District, Richland Public Facilities District, and Pasco Public Facilities District. At the luncheon, speakers will provide information about their respective PFD's, including which projects they are involved in.

The luncheon will be held at the Kennewick Red Lion Hotel. Registration and networking will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon and the luncheon program will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. The program will feature speakers Matt Watkins, president of the Tri-Cities Public Facilities District, John Givens, board treasurer of the Kennewick Public Facilities District and Fred Raab, president of the Richland Public Facilities District.

Cost is $20 for regional chamber members and $30 for others. Reservations are required. The deadline to register is March 21.
