Michael Condie, an eighth-grade student at Harrison Middle School in Sunnyside, explains his science project entry to judge Rohini Thevuthasen, of the Kenenwick School District, Thursday at the 59th annual Mid-Columbia Regional Science & Engineering Fair at Columbia Center Mall in Kennewick. His project looks into how different types of materials used in the mouth can affect the growth of bacteria. The are 345 students entered this year.
