Richland offices to open late Friday

Tri-City HeraldMarch 13, 2014

Most Richland city facilities will open a little late Friday -- at 10 a.m. -- so employees can attend an annual appreciation meeting.

The affected facilities include city hall, the administrative annex, planning and development services, fire and police offices, human resources, shops facilities and water and wastewater treatment plants, a city news release said.

Police and fire personnel will respond to emergency calls as usual, and the city’s landfill, community center and library will open at their regular times.

The event will honor all city employees for their work in 2013. Also, 93 staffers who reached milestone anniversaries — and who collectively have worked 1,175 years for the city — will be given special recognition.
