Updated:Renovations at John Dam Plaza (w/video)

By the Herald staffMarch 12, 2014

Tommy Garcia, left, and Christopher Meredith, employees of the Richland Parks Department, share a laugh Wednesday as they assemble underground pipes for the irrigation system at John Dam Plaza. The Richland Parks Department is updating the irrigation system as part of its reconstruction project of the park's sidewalks. The new shape will have a horseshoe design to better define the park's stage area, said Phil Pinard, Richland's parks and public facilities director. The almost $47,000 project is scheduled to be finished by the end of the month. The general contractor is 2F Enterprises of Kennewick.
