Letter: Blown away by generosity

March 12, 2014

From Leadership Tri-Cities Class XIX to the guests of our March 8 fundraiser event and to the community at large, thank you. For you, we are so very grateful.

On Saturday night, 130 guests attended our gala and raised nearly $30,000 for Ken & Teresa's Place, a homeless day-shelter operated by Therapeutic Innovations & Recovery. Class XIX is excited and proud to support this effort through a capital improvement and food handlers assistance project this year, knowing we have a unique opportunity to share about a program that is new and necessary in our community.

As a class, we have often commented over the months how caring and invested this community is, and our event guests and private sponsor on Saturday night confirmed that in a mighty way through their support. We were blown away by such generosity.

And so, as a class, and on behalf of Cindy Fransen and Steve Gaulke of TIR, thank you. You inspire us!
