Miss Tri-Cities info available at open house

The Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship Program invites all who are interested in participating as a contestant, little sister, or volunteer to attend an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 22 at the Banner Bank, 201 W. First Ave. in Kennewick.

Both Miss Tri-Cities and Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen 2013 will be present to describe their year of service. Information and applications will be available.

Contestants of the Miss program must be 17 to 24 years old, and a high school graduate as of July 2014. Contestants of the teen program must be 13 to 17 years old and cannot be a 2015 high school graduate.

Contestants must be unmarried, able to adopt a platform/cause, and meet residency and character requirements as set forth by the Miss America Organization. Each contestant must also have a musical or dramatic talent.
