Speech, debate club needs judges for event

By the Herald staffMarch 11, 2014

A Tri-City student speech and debate club is looking for judges to help at its tournament in Richland this weekend.

Expressio is hosting the Tri-Windy Qualifying Tournament, sanctioned by a national forensics association, from Thursday morning until Saturday at First Baptist Church at 1107 Wright Ave., a release said.

The competition is primarily for homeschool middle and high school students.

People interested in judging would have to commit to at least a two-hour slot for events. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a short orientation for all volunteers.

To apply to be a judge, go to www.ncfca.org. You also can call coordinator Jen Frater at 628-2923 or 947-7444.
