New positions

-- Ericka Rice has joined Richland-based TradeWind Services as manager of business development. Rice brings with her more than 22 years of experience in significantly responsible roles within operations management, business development and communication and has worked in government sectors and in the health care industry.

Allen Stewart has been promoted from technical recruiter to senior recruiter and business development liaison. Stewart joined TradeWind in January 2011.

-- Carol Johnson has been named to the strategic advisory board of Longenecker & Associates of Las Vegas. She is working as an independent consultant after retiring as president of Washington Closure Hanford.


-- Lower Valley Credit Union, with branches in Prosser, Grandview and Sunnyside, received the Credit Union Times' Trailblazer Award for Outstanding Service to the Underserved at the Credit Union National Association's Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.

The award honors credit unions that promote change by creating and implementing innovative strategies and solutions.

Since 2010, LVCU has originated about 400 loans to first-time borrowers and about 1,900 used-auto loans to its limited income and credit members.
