Dayton’s Ski Bluewood resort will be closed Sunday

— The managers of Ski Bluewood outside Dayton sent out a notice Saturday evening that they will not be open Sunday because of a weather system bringing in high winds and rain.

Saturday evening they reported light rain falling on the mountain with temperatures in the low to mid-40s

The weather is expected to intensify during the next 24-36 hours, with heavy rains, strong winds and mild temperatures projected through the early Monday.

The weather is expected to improve Monday, with colder air coming in which is expected to produce between 3-6-inches of of snow.

Plans are to resume normal operations Thursday.
