Home-buyer education class to be March 15

By The Tri-City HeraldMarch 7, 2014

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission is sponsoring a home-buyer education class from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m March 15 in the Mid-Columbia Libraries Kennewick branch at 1620 S. Union St.

The free class will provide an overview on how to successfully buy a home and will cover what lenders are looking for, first-time home-buyer tax credit, obtaining down payment assistance, increasing one's credit score, and how to avoid making common home-buyer mistakes.

Light snacks will be provided, though guests are asked to provide their own lunch.

Tri-City Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
