State electrical rules to be discussed March 13 in Kennewick

Proposed changes to state electrical codes, rules and regulations to match national requirements will be discussed at a March 13 public meeting in Kennewick .

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries plans a meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Benton Public Utility District auditorium, 2721 W. 10th Ave., as part of a statewide conversation with electrical stakeholders focused on adoption of the 2014 National Electrical Code.

A formal hearing to consider the changes is April 10 at the L&I building in Tumwater, Wash. More information is available at www.lni.wa.gov/TradesLicensing/Electrical/WhatsNew.
