Letter: Are they gay or just friends?

March 6, 2014

Arizona's Religious Freedom bill lends itself to this question: If it had become law, could any business refuse service to same-sex couples? Scenario: Two men or two women enter a restaurant expecting to be seated. How do the restaurant owners know if they are a couple? Or friends? Or relatives? Or co-workers? Assume? Question them?

Sounds like dangerous territory.
