Workers from 3 Kings Environmental of Battle Ground begin the process Monday of removing underground fuel tanks at the former Vista Field Airport in Kennewick. The Port of Kennewick last month awarded a $17,000 contract to the company for the work. Another $5,000 contract was awarded to Blue Mountain Environmental of Waitsburg for monitoring and soil sampling during the tank removal. The project is expected to be done by the end of April.
