The Links luncheon to fund scholarships for Mid-Columbia students

PASCO -- Tickets for the Tri-City chapter of The Links luncheon on April 26 are available in two locations.

Tickets are $40 and sold at Salon Remedi, 745 The Parkway, Richland, and Back Street Hair, 8236 Gage Blvd., Suite B, Kennewick.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pasco Red Lion Hotel, 2525 N. 20th Ave.

The theme is 100 Women in H.A.T.S., or Health Awareness Through Sisterhood. Men and women are welcome to attend, and the women are encouraged to wear their fanciest hats.

Marianne Ophardt, Washington State University Extension, will be the guest speaker.

Proceeds help fund scholarships and programs that focus on promoting women's health.

Applications for college scholarships go out to counselors at Mid-Columbia high schools about March 1 and are due in mid-April.

Tickets and donations can be written to The Links Foundation. Forty percent of the ticket price is tax deductible.
