Lawmakers pay tribute to cowboys, cowgirls

State Sens. Sharon Brown, R-Kennewick, and Mike Hewitt, R-Walla Walla, paid tribute to cowboys and cowgirls with a resolution celebrating "National Day of the Cowboy" on the fourth Saturday in July.

The resolution was made Thursday, the same day the Washington Cattlemen's Association hosted an event in honor of "Beef Day," feeding 500 pounds of tri-tip beef sandwiches to Capitol campus staff and visitors.
