A man reportedly groped an 11-year-old girl's buttocks and breast on her way to school and threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone, Kennewick police said.

The girl was walking to classes at Park Middle School on Feb. 25 when the man approached her, a release said. The girl told two of her friends about the incident. One of the friends told school staff who called police.

The girl was not injured in the incident and the man left her by walking south on Garfield Street. The man is described as being possibly Hispanic with a dark complexion, dark curly hair and dark goatee. He was last seen wearing a plain gray sweatshirt and dark pants.

Anyone who has had a similar experience or saw the male the morning of the incident is encouraged to call Kennewick police. The Crime Stoppers tip line can be contacted at 586-8477 or 1-800-222-8477 or by visiting www.tricitiescrimestoppers.org.
