Applications due Feb. 28 for internship program

Applications are due Feb. 28 for the Advanced Internship Program, which matches Washington State University Tri-Cities students with small businesses and nonprofit agencies.

Businesses, nonprofit groups and public agencies in Benton or Franklin counties can apply for an intern.

Preference is given to projects with for-profit businesses with fewer than 50 employees that have been operating for at least one year. Participating businesses will pay $150 toward program expenses, while payroll costs will be covered by the program sponsor, Washington River Protection Solutions.

Intern candidates will be interviewed by the business, and placements will be finalized by mid-April. Most internships are mid-May to July.

Find details and applications at, or contact the internship coordinator at or 372-7600.
