Job fairs set Feb. 27 in Kennewick and March 5 in Boardman

Two job fairs -- one for firefighters and paramedics, the second for energy and agricultural workers -- are planned in the Mid-Columbia in coming weeks.

Mission Support Alliance and the Hanford Fire Department will have a session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 27 at WorkSource, 815 N. Kellogg St., Kennewick. Bring a copy of a resume and any licenses and certifications.

The second job fair is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 5 at the Sustainable Agriculture and Energy Center, 101 Olson Road, Boardman, Ore.

Representatives from food processors, utilities, farms, government agencies, educational institutions and forest products companies will attend.

Representatives from Blue Mountain Community College, Walla Walla Community College, Perry Technical Institute and Eastern Oregon University will also be there to provide information about educational opportunities.

People from the Oregon Employment Department will be there to help with resume writing and interview tips.
