Benton, Franklin county property taxes due soon

It's time to pay your property tax. The Benton County Treasurer's Office has finished the 2014 tax roll and four drop boxes are set up to accept payments.

Taxes also may be paid online at www.bentoncountytax.com.

The drop boxes are outside the county courthouse, 620 Market St., Prosser; City Hall, 708 Ninth St., Benton City; the county auditor's office at 101 Wellsian Way, Suite E., Richland; and the county annex at 5600 W. Canal Drive in Kennewick.

Franklin County residents' tax statements have been mailed and are due by April 30. They must be in the mail at either Pasco post office by 4 p.m. that day.

Tax payments can be mailed to the Franklin County Treasurer's Office, 1016 N. Fourth Ave., Pasco, Wash., 99301; or dropped off at the same address between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. A drop box is also available. Taxes can also be paid at 1-855-768-9758.
