Wine grape growers elected to board of directors for Wine Grape Growers Association

Three wine grape growers from the Tri-City area were recently elected to three-year terms on the 2014 board of directors for the state's Wine Grape Growers Association.

Elected were Todd Newhouse of Outlook's Upland Vineyards, Lynne Chamberlain of Spofford Station Vineyards in Walla Walla and Mike Means of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in Paterson.

Newhouse will serve as chairman, Patrick Rawn of Two Mountain Winery in Zillah will serve as vice chairman and Ken Lewis of Trail View Farm in Prosser will be secretary/treasurer this year.

Other board members are: Leif Olsen of Olsen Vineyards of Prosser, Julia Kock of Klipsun Vineyards of Roosevelt, Scott Williams of Kiona Vineyards of Benton City and Jason Schlagel of Milbrandt Vineyards/Wahluke Wine Company of Mattawa.
