Fast Focus: 'What do you think of Gov. Inslee suspending the death penalty?' Save an innocent life As a registered Independent, I applaud Gov. Inslee's decision and note that it does not surprise me. After all, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

If we look at the existing information provide by the Innocence Project, Gov. Inslee will probably save one or more innocent people from being executed by the state of Washington.

There is no evidence that executing persons for any particular crime has any deterrence on others committing similar crimes.

So simply based on this evidence and leaving out any ideology or opinion, I would say this is a very positive turn of events.
