Young women can sign up for mentor program

Young women who have demonstrated leadership potential and aspire to become decision-makers within their companies are encouraged to apply for the Powerful Connections Mentor Program.

The professional networking group focuses on the challenges facing women who own or direct their own business.

The program's core curriculum emphasizes leadership development, time management skills and interpersonal relationships tailored for women early in their career.

"It is a tremendous goal and responsibility to mentor the next generation of Tri-Cities' professional women," said Stella Edens Pederson, president of Powerful Connections. Membership is $150 a year.
