Barnes and Noble Booksellers has announced the start of its 2014 "My Favorite Teacher" competition.

Middle and high school students can nominate a teacher by writing essays, poems or thank you letters that share why they appreciate that teacher and how he or she has impacted their life.

Deadline is March 1. Teachers of grades 1-12 are eligible for nomination. Participating schools will collect all entries to submit to the Kennewick Barnes and Noble.
