A 34-year-old Clarkston woman has been arrested in connection with a September arson fire in Kennewick. Latasha Marie Odell was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree arson and residential burglary, Kennewick Police said.

She acted alone and there are no other suspects, police reported.

The fire broke out about 9:35 p.m. on Sept. 23 at a home on the 400 block of West First Avenue. The home’s sole occupant, Marcilla Roger, escaped safely, police said.

On Monday, detectives received a tip that Odell, who has ties to the Tri-Cities, was bragging about starting the blaze, police reported.

Detectives arrested her at the Tahitian Inn in Pasco.
