Area FFA chapters compete Friday in Finley

Ten area FFA chapters will be competing in various career development events at the Lower Columbia Basin FFA Jamboree from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at River View High School, 36509 South Lemon Drive in Finley.

Career development events help members develop skills and abilities in certain areas that could lead to possible careers throughout the agricultural industry.

More than 160 FFA members will compete.

Career development events in which FFA members compete include tractor driving, horse evaluation, food science, agricultural mechanics, sales, public speaking, vet tech, job interview, floriculture, Middle School Quiz Bowl and more.
