Hermiston posts survey for input on city manager

Tri-City HeraldFebruary 19, 2014

HERMISTON -- Hermiston is looking for a new city manager, and the mayor and city council are asking for input from residents.

The city has a nine-question survey on its website asking residents to rank the qualities, such as vision, diversity and strategic planning, that are important in a city manager.

The survey is available until Feb. 28.

The city also will have a public session at 5 p.m. Feb. 25, when people can talk to representatives of the Prothman Co., an executive search firm that is helping with the search.

The new city manager will replace Ed Brookshier, who is retiring after 23 years. The city council hopes to have a new manager in place by the end of 2014.
