Tri-City wind advisory extended

— The Tri-Cities will remain under a wind advisory until 10 p.m. Tuesday, with the strongest winds from mid afternoon to evening, according to the National Weather Service.

A south wind of 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 41 mph is predicted.

Rain also is in the forecast Tuesday.

Wednesday should be breezy with winds of 16 to 24 mph and gusts of up to 33 mph.

The chance of rain Wednesday in the Tri-Cities is 20 percent during the day, increasing to 40 percent at night.
