Awards and Achievements for Feb. 16

-- Alvaro Figueroa of Pasco has received a Dennis Higgins Business Scholarship of $1,900 for the 2013-14 academic year at Eastern Washington University. This scholarship is awarded to students who are going into the master's of business administration program.

At Eastern, Alvaro is an MBA student who likes to play intramural sports.

While at Chiawana High, Alvaro was a member of the Key Club, Mesa Club and MECHA Club.

He is the son of Refugio and Elvira Figueroa of Pasco.

-- The following students were named on the Spokane Falls Community College fall honor roll list.

To receive honor roll status, students must earn a 3.0 grade-point average or higher.

Benton City -- Ariel Ray.

Kennewick -- Katrina Cassens, Parker Floyd, Logan Jackson, Elizabeth Ridley, Larisarae Sitzes, Sherri Walker, Madison Zinsli.

Othello -- Carlos Millan.

Pasco -- Alexandra Johnson.

Richland -- Joseph Flores, Sarah Harrison, Sheldon Liikala, Brenda Nelson, Leon Prather, Carlos Solorzano.

Sunnyside -- Rebecca Kinney.

-- Keyna Collingham of West Richland has been awarded Eagle Rank, the highest and most prestigious rank in Boy Scouts.

Collingham's Court of Honor Ceremony was Jan. 25 at the Cathedral of Joy in Richland.

His project added handicap-accessible ramps to the planned Pasco World War II Control Tower Museum.

Collingham is senior at River's Edge High School in Richland and a full-time Running Start student at Columbia Basin College.

He is the son of Suzanne Collingham.
