A Walla Walla man must pay $106,725 in restitution for failing to make child support payments since October 2005.

Ty Warren Azeltine, 54, was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to misdemeanor failure to pay a child support obligation in October 2013, according to a federal court news release.

He was ordered to find and keep a job and will be on probation for two-and-a-half years.

Azeltine is originally from Alaska and the father of an 11-year-old child who still lives there. A court ordered him to pay $767 a month in child support, but he hadn't made a payment since his wages were garnished more than eight years ago.
