Richland native Fontana to star in Broadway's 'Act One' with Tony Shalhoub

February 14, 2014

The Tri-Cities’ native son Santino Fontana will share the role of playwright Moss Hart in the Broadway production of Act One, which opens April 17 at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre in New York City.

Fontana, a graduate of Richland High School, shares the lead role with veteran actor Tony Shalhoub. The two actors will play Hart at different stages in the playwright’s colorful life, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Fontana, whose parents Ernie and Sharon still live in Richland, earned a Tony nomination last year for his starring role as Prince Topher in the Broadway musical "Cinderella." He also voiced the role of Hans in the Disney cartoon movie "Frozen."
