Girls basketball: Poor shooting sinks Connell in district loss

February 13, 2014

Granger 52, Connell 36: Struggling to make shots sunk the Eagles, as they dropped a Class 1A District 5 first round game to the visiting Spartans on Thursday.

“We just didn’t shoot the ball well,” Connell coach Kameron Jenks said. “You can’t shoot 15 percent and expect to win the game. I thought defensively we played really well, but we’ve got to shoot the ball better to win the game.”
