Tri-City HeraldFebruary 12, 2014

HERMISTON -- Brad Bixler has been named permanent principal of Highland Hills Elementary School in Hermiston.

He has served as the interim principal of Highland Hills following the late-spring resignation ofBrian Schimel, the former principal.

Bixler has been in education since 1988. He has served as an assistant principal at Pendleton High School, technology coordinator, and an elementary, middle school and high school teacher."Although it is customary for (Hermiston School District) to re-post and interview for the permanent position, Mr. Bixler has proven himself an exceptional candidate during his interim assignment," said Hermiston Superintendent Fred Maiocco in a news release.
