February 11, 2014

A Chiawana High School freshman is heading to Washington, D.C., this week to further his goal of having a career in medicine.

Christian Domingos will attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders beginning Friday, a release said. He will represent the Tri-Cities and was chosen for his academic performance, leadership potential and determination to serve in the medical field.

The event aims to inspire students who want to become physicians or medical scientists. Domingos and other students will hear from Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Science winners, receive advice on getting into medical school and learn about advances in medical technology.
