February 10, 2014

Trios Foundation recently presented almost $400,000 to the Kennewick Public Hospital District as a result of fundraising in 2013.

The money -- totaling $398,570 -- will go toward projects and items including pediatric sleeper beds, infusion chairs, free mammogram screenings for underinsured or uninsured women, a heel scanner bone density test for community events and video game consoles for pediatrics, a news release said. Money also was allocated to the oncology/hematology patient support fund, scholarship awards, a musical healing program and the Good Samaritan program, the release said.
