Seattle Sounders FC ended its Arizona portion of preseason training Sunday with a 2-1 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Camp invitee Kevin Parsemain and Andy Rose provided the goals as Seattle broke to a 2-0 lead. Carlyle Mitchell got the lone goal for the Whitecaps.

Seattle coach Sigi Schmid started a lineup of goalkeeper Stefan Frei; defenders Michael Azira, Jalil Anibaba, Damion Lowe and Zach Scott; midfielders Sean Okoli, Rose, Gonzalo Pineda and Marco Pappa; and forwards Chad Barrett and Parsemain. Reserve goalkeeper Josh Ford went the final 30 minutes.

The appearance marked Pappa’s debut with Seattle.

The Sounders went 3-0-1 in Arizona before flying home Sunday afternoon. They will resume training at Starfire Sports in Tukwila this week before leaving Feb. 19 for three games at the Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston, S.C.
