Kennewick man injured in collision with semi

February 9, 2014

— A Kennewick man was injured when he lost control of his Jeep near Pasco and was hit by a semi.

Troy Broders, 38, of Kennewick, was driving west on Highway 12 two miles east of Pasco at 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

His Jeep veered to the right and was hit by a semi driving the same direction in the right lane, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Sabino Carrillo, 50, of Othello, who was driving the Kenworth semi, was not injured but his truck had to be towed.

Broders was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. His condition was not available Sunday.

The state patrol said Broders was driving too fast.
