Letter: Save horse racing

February 9, 2014

It is ironic that the Jan. 30 paper ran the headline, "Business leaders forecast job growth," next to the article entitled "Delay in opening Sun Downs may result in job losses across region."

When will the powers that be realize that horse racing is a valuable asset to this community? The Benton Franklin Fair Association should be doing all in its power to ensure that the local horse racing industry remains strong rather than making it difficult to train at Sun Downs.
