Letter: What's the matter with Richland girls basketball?

February 9, 2014

After reading the article, "Steady as she goes," in the Jan. 23 Herald, I congratulate Kennedy Corrigan on her success on the Richland High School girls basketball team. Her tenacity and skill are something to be recognized and rewarded.

It certainly can be a challenge when there is such uncertainty, with frequent turnover in coaching staff and loss of team members. My question would be -- is the school really interested in why players are quitting? And are they willing to do anything about it?
