Elaine and Robert 'Bob' Johnson

Elaine and Robert "Bob" Johnson of Milton-Freewater celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Tate's Umapine Mercantile in Milton-Freewater.

They were married Feb. 8, 1964, in Mora, Minn. They lived in Salem and Turner Ore., before moving to Milton-Freewater in 1984.

Elaine worked at The Garden Center on Stateline Road in Milton-Freewater before retiring in 2007.

She is a member of the Elks Lodge. Her hobbies include fishing, reading, sewing and camping.

Bob worked at Boise Cascade before retiring in 2007.

He is a member of the Elks Lodge, Touchet Lions Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Oregon Hunter's Association. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, camping, archery and tinkering in his shop.

They have three children, Brad Johnson, Montrose, Colo.; Bryan (Veronica) Johnson, Turner, Ore.; and Benji (Katie O'Neal) Johnson, Walla Walla.

They have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
