Tri-City HeraldFebruary 8, 2014

A new administrator has joined Washington State University Tri-Cities and recruiting students to the Richland campus will be one of his top jobs.

Chris Meiers will be vice chancellor of enrollment management and student services, a release from the university said. Along with recruitment, he'll have his hands on student retention, financial aid, career services, counseling and student involvement.

Meiers previously served as associate vice chancellor of student services for the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Fort Hays State University in Fort Hays, Kan., before earning a doctorate from the University of Kansas.
