Man who allegedly stole truck arrested in Pasco

By The Tri-City HeraldFebruary 7, 2014

A 40-year-old man who allegedly stole a pickup from a Richland parking lot earlier this week was arrested in Pasco late Friday morning.

Pasco and Richland police, with help from the U.S. Marshals Service, took Anthony Roberts into custody after finding him at the Airport Motel on Fourth Avenue, a release said.

He was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, felony eluding, hit and run and trespassing.

Authorities have been looking for Roberts since Tuesday, when he allegedly stole a Chevrolet pickup with a trailer that was parked outside Fred Meyer on Wellsian Way.

He hit another vehicle as he fled the parking lot and was chased by police. The chase ended on Carrier Way when Roberts abandoned the truck and ran away.
