New salon specializes in eyelash extensions

By The Tri-City HeraldFebruary 7, 2014

Cherie Broadway has opened a new salon in Kennewick specializing in eyelash extensions.

She and her husband, Rock, recently bought Urban Sol Tanning at 19 S. Cascade St., Kennewick, and added Lashin' It Up, a business she owned for six years in Portland.

"Eyelash extensions are a huge business in Portland. Women there think no more about getting them than they do of having their nails done," Broadway said.

Broadway dips short lengths of human hair in black glue and, using tweezers, attaches them to your natural eyelashes for a longer, fuller look.

The extensions stay in place until your natural lashes grow out in about 28 days.

The initial set of eyelash extensions takes about an hour and costs $55. Replacement sessions cost $25.

Broadway also kept the tanning beds and offers full-body spray tans.

Hours are from noon to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 586-7363.
