Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau given Readers' Choice Award

Tri-City HeraldFebruary 6, 2014

The Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau recently received a 2014 Readers' Choice Award from SportsEvents Magazine.

The publication focuses exclusively on helping tournament directors produce competitions in the United States and Canada.

The magazine reaches more than 16,500 sports industry professionals each month. Readers were asked to name the sports commission, convention and visitors bureau or sports venue that they believed displayed exemplary creativity and professionalism.

Thousands of nominations were submitted nationwide with award winners selected based on results from an online voting system.

"To be nominated from thousands of other destinations and sporting venues and to receive the award along with only one other Washington destination, speaks to the relationships our staff members build between the Tri-Cities sporting venues and the tournament planners," said Kris Watkins in the press release. She is president and CEO of the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau.

The full list of 2014 Readers' Choice award winners can be found on the SportsEvents website, www.sportseventsmagazine.com/2014readerschoice.
