Letter: Quickly carry out capital punishment

February 6, 2014

I read the column by Bob Ray Sanders of the Fort Worth Star Telegram on his opposition of the possible execution of the Boston Bomber (Voices, Feb. 5). It is my opinion that this 20-year-old punk should be put to death as soon as possible. As it is, these killers live much too long on nonsense appeals paid for by the American public.

In my opinion, all persons who would like to eliminate capital punishment throughout the country would be required to contribute money from their paychecks to keep the vermin in prison, awaiting their execution time. Sanders should explain why he believes killers like John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer should be sitting for years waiting for their sentences to be lawfully carried out. I propose Sanders and the rest of the bleeding heart liberals support their stay in prison while the appeals take years to run out.
