Letter: Super Bowl coverage provided refreshing break from hard news

I would love to give a shout out to our local news media -- Tri-City Herald, KEPR, KVEW, KNDU, Townsquare radio, Cherry Creek, Radio Tri-Cities and anyone else I missed -- for their outstanding coverage of our local celebration of the Seahawks heading to the Super Bowl, winning, and our very own 12th Man!

While serious issues still are ongoing, such as headline news, politics, justice, wars, famine, crime, heck, even the weather -- it was so refreshing to take a break from reading and hearing about all of the negative, the pain and the suffering. It allowed me to focus on something good, clean and fun!

I also want to give a shout out to all of our schools and local businesses that showed their 12th Man pride and allowed their staff, students and others to participate!

Way to go everyone! Way to show your pride, way to stay classy and way to represent!

And to the local Bronco fans -- you are some of the classiest people I know! Way to stay true to your Broncos!
