Author to read from book at cancer center Monday

February 3, 2014

Gayle Bittinger, a local author and breast cancer patient, will read from her book Leading a Charmed Life on Monday at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center in Kennewick.

The event is from noon to 1 p.m. Copies of Bittinger's book -- which tells of her cancer treatment experience -- also will be available, with part of the proceeds going to the cancer center's foundation. Lunch will be provided with a reservation; seating is limited and people are asked to RSVP by Friday.

To save a spot, call 737-3427 or go to www.tccancer.org and click on the Education tab and then "Events & Classes."

The cancer center is at 7350 W. Deschutes Ave.
