— A 23-year-old man was stable Monday after being stabbed in the stomach early Sunday at a Pasco house party.

Samuel Chavez-Torreblanca was brought to Lourdes Health Center at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday.

The stabbing occurred during a personal argument between Chavez-Torreblanca and Antonio Flores Bustos, 29, in the 1900 block of West Irving Street , said Pasco police Capt. Jim Raymond. The dispute was apparently over a woman. Officials described the wound as severe.

Chavez-Torreblanca underwent surgery early Sunday, according to police.

Bustos was arrested and booked into the Franklin County jail on connection with felony assault on Sunday, according to police.

The incident is still under investigation, Raymond said.
