February 2, 2014

— Expect winter weather this week.

Cold should descend on the Tri-Cities and the rest of southeast Washington state, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow is possible Sunday night and Monday morning, with light to moderate amounts in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. And the Tri-Cities may experience some of the coldest temperatures since early December.

Temperatures by Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be at least 15 to 20 degrees below normally in most areas.

By the middle of the week, maximum temperatures may be in the teens and 20s, with lows in the single digits.
