The Pasco High wrestling team wrapped up the regular season with a 61-15 Mid-Columbia Conference victory over a short-handed Kennewick squad Thursday at the Lions Den.

Pasco’s Audie Pearson decisioned Isidro Valdez 8-1 at heavyweight in a back-and-forth match.

“Heavyweight was probably the best match of the night,” Kennewick coach Dwane Sitler said. “They went three rounds and it was a pretty good match.

“We just gave up too many forfeits, and our younger kids gave up too many pins and got into a hole.”

Bobby Guzman, Patrick Torres, Luis Ochoa and Timmy Martinez all won by pin for the Bulldogs.

“Overall it was a good way to finish the league duals and get ready for the postseason in the district tournament,” Pasco coach Jay Covington said.

The Class 4A district tournament is Feb. 8 at Richland High.
