Toastmasters plans leadership program

Sun Country Toastmasters Club will hold a six-week program designed to develop leadership and speaking skills.

The program helps participants gain confidence in communication, including writing and delivering speeches, impromptu speaking, using body language and improving effective listening.

The series of workshops is from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursdays on Feb. 13, 20, 27, March 6, 13 and 20 at the Charbonneau Retirement Community, 8264 W. Grandridge Blvd, Kennewick.

Cost is $36 per person and includes a workbook. Individual advisers will be assigned to help and mentor participants. Participants will be able to apply the fee toward a six-month membership in Toastmasters.
